Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for the support of manufacturing operations to drive compliance to standards, regulations, procedures, work Instructions, efficiencies, and continuous improvements. Develops and documents quality plans and procedures. Works within Quality, Operations, and Engineering with regards to the New Product Introduction process in order to develop Product and Process FMEAs. Works with Operations, Engineering, and others to resolve quality issues and improve areas of high-quality cost. Assists Engineering and Purchasing in the establishment of quality requirements for current and new suppliers and subcontractors. Designs and conducts studies to determine cause of quality non-conformances and recommends changes to processes, equipment, tooling, and environment. Leads by example to adhere to and continuously improve the quality system and quality driven behaviors to influence strong quality values in all employees and suppliers. Is a resource to production teams as a subject matter expert in external standards/regulations and internal quality systems.
