About the Role

Elsevier is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Manager. You will take ownership of delivering successful events for our global organisation. You will drive the commercial success of our global scientific conference business. You will take responsibility for delivering sponsorship and exhibit sales through leading a small team.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing sales strategy and planning to achieve and deliver on new sales targets for our portfolio

  • Immersing yourself within our clients universe to unlock their needs and insights

  • Determining strategic product vision and priorities, using market analysis and research to shape future product direction

  • Coordinating and integrating crucial sales activities to deliver on team and organisational initiatives

  • Leading the identification, exploration and analysis of new opportunities to develop successful strategies and business initiatives

  • Shaping the future direction of our offerings while developing a small but extremely dedicated sales team.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a track record of sales leadership

  • Be flexible and willing to travel to conferences across a variety of global destinations

  • Demonstrate knowledge of SalesForce

  • Have experience working in event exhibition, sponsorship or advertising sales

  • Have a natural ability to build relationships with customers to understand future needs and requirements

  • Have excellent communication, organizational, analytical skills and a customer-focused mindset

  • Enjoy collaborating with teams to deliver successful projects and initiatives
