Emory Healthcare/Emory University Assistant Professor of Political Science, Tenure-Track in Oxford, Georgia

Oxford College of Emory University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Political Science to begin August 2025. The College seeks a candidate with a background in American Politics, whose teaching and scholarship interests include one or more of the following: voting and elections, legislatures and legislative processes, urban and local politics, or public policy.

The teaching load is three undergraduate courses per semester. Candidates should be prepared to regularly teach an introductory course in American Politics, an introductory Political Science course, a course in Political Science Research Design and Methods, and courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Faculty members at Oxford College also teach one first-year Discovery Seminar on a topic of their choosing within their expertise every other fall.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, an ability to maintain a productive research agenda, an interest in active engagement in service (broadly defined), and demonstrate a strong appreciation for Oxford College’s first-year and second-year student-focused mission.
