Overview of the Position:

Receive parts from customers and/or vendors, and other material from suppliers. Inspect all items for damage. Perform necessary inspection procedures to insure that incoming parts meet all required specifications and standards. Prepare repair documents utilizing ACI computer software and required procedure(s). Become competent in the use of measuring devices and hand tools. Become familiar with ISO policy and procedures. Maintain inventory and appropriate stock levels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Log in, inspect and analyze parts that are shipped/mailed in from other companies or clients for service.

  • Read repair instructions and produce repair (Traveler) documents.

  • Contact customer for information, etc. Be able to communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Requisition detail components and maintain inventory/stock levels.

  • Work at a computer console entering parts. Become familiar with computer software system.

  • Be able to use measuring tools, e.g. calipers, micrometers, etc.

  • Operate power hand tool to mark parts.

  • Use chemical cleaners on parts.

  • Sandblast parts.

    Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must speak, read and write the English language.

  • Should have common computer software skills.

  • Should have knowledge of the use of measuring devices (micrometers, c-micrometers, bore gauges, etc.), or the ability to quickly learn.

  • Prior work experience in receiving/shipping/inventory is helpful but not required.

  • Must be capable of reading blueprints.

    Education / Experience Requirements:

  • Must have H.S. Diploma or GED

  • Must have 3 months to 2 years ACI experience or related outside experience.

    Language Skills :

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

    Mathematical Skills :

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability :

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 10 pounds.

  • Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.

  • Is frequently required to talk or listen

  • Works in moderate noise levels.

  • Lift parts up to 80lbs.

  • Always seek help when handling large parts.

  • Operate fork lift.

  • Move (using a hand truck or fork lift) boxes up to several 100lbs. (always get help)

  • Operate motor vehicle or truck when picking up parts from or delivering to a customer

  • No vision requirements
