Responsibilities

Provides professional counseling services to assigned patients and family members.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree from an accredited school or educational program. Counselors must meet training, experience, and continuing education requirements necessary for the patient population for which services are provided. Counselors providing adolescent services and family counselors must meet training requirements or training will be provided. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in alcohol and drug studies or related field. Preferred: Master's degree in counseling-related field. Preferred: Treatment philosophy consistent with Fountain Centers philosophy. Knowledge of chemical dependency and 12 Step recovery philosophies. 1 to 3 years' experience providing counseling services to patients preferred.

Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) with current licensure with Minnesota Board of Social Work with additional alcohol and drug related state requirements. Current driver’s license. Must be able to complete and pass BLS and First aid training within 90 days of hire. Positions that are not on campus may not require Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid Training competencies as determined by the work area.

$26.06 - $38.85 / hour; Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
