Job Summary and Qualifications

The PACU RN is responsible for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation of care. Health teaching and counseling of the ill or injured. Administers medications and treatments as prescribed or authorized by a licensed practitioner. May be expected to help other departments during critical staffing situations where skill sets overlap.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree

  • Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or Registered Nurse

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

  • Previous experience in acute care setting preferred

  • Current FL RN license required or appropriate compat license
