Job Summary
As our Business Analyst CPM, you will spearhead the analysis and enhancement of our financial planning tools.
Through these applications, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our data platform and integrating cutting-edge data science applications.
This position of Business Analyst CPM requires a strong understanding of IT systems, business processes with a focus on Finance performance management principles, and data governance practices.
Responsibilities & Duties
As the Business Analyst CPM, your key responsibilities will revolve around :
To lead the development of our financial planning and budgeting tools, ensuring they meet our strategic objectives
Your participation in the implementation and refinement of our master data management and data governance tools
To champion the expansion of our modern data platform and pioneer its use in data science
To investigate and apply predictive analytics and AI to revolutionize our planning and budgeting processes
And finally, you will have to act as a key stakeholder in the evolution and future advancements of our systems, maintaining a high standard of support and documentation accuracy.
List of Your Future Tasks
Financial planning:
Perform comprehensive research to inform strategic planning across various departments at Carmeuse
Engage with all relevant parties to gather and define precise business requirements
Recommend improvements to support informed business decision-making
Assist in achieving operational goals by collecting data, assessing output needs, and determining formats
Deliver targeted training sessions as required
Enhance systems by evaluating current operations and proposing beneficial modifications
Actively participate in the data validation processes to ensure accuracy and integrity
Develop and uphold system procedures and governance standards to maintain system quality
Data Governance:
You are required to participate in the development implementation of data management strategies to ensure data accuracy and consistency
You contribute to define data standards and oversee data governance policies
You network actively with IT, management, and other stakeholders to align data initiatives with business goals
You ensure data quality, data privacy, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
You participate actively in data governance meetings and communicate data standards to the team.
User Support:
You assist users in accessing and utilizing systems while adhering to security policies
You create training materials and offer support during training sessions as needed.
Project Involvement:
Participation as a key stakeholder in the enhancement of systems, including digitalization, cloud services, and AI
Design of test scenarios and plans for the integration of new applications and automation initiatives
You finally participate in the build out of our modern data platform and data science initiatives.
Your Profile
University level
Experience with Planning & Budgeting
Experience with Master data management – data governance
Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts
Experience in SAP ECC systems is a plus
Experience in projects related to controlling, forecasting, or finance
Good communicator in French and English, written and verbal
Needed Knowledge:
Power BI Online
Programming languages: SQL, Python is a plus
Knowledge of CPM Tagetik is a plus
Knowledge of SAP ECC is a plus.

Your Future Team
The Data & Analytics team has the mission to empower our organization through data driven insights and analytics. In order to do this the team is in the process of building a robust and scalable modern data platform. Besides the current role, the team is composed of BI analysts, data engineers, system architects and business analysts for data governance. Geographically the team is based in the US and Belgium, its responsibilities extend to all parts of the Carmeuse Group globally. Working within our team you will be responsible to further develop and manage our corporate performance management tool used for financial consolidation, budgeting and planning.

John Verkaik, 57 years old, is the leader of the team. With 33 years of experience within Carmeuse in different roles and locations, he brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the role and uses his network to the team’s benefit. His management style is pragmatic, direct and based on trust and support. He focuses on efficiency and continuous improvement, always looking for ways to optimize processes and improve team performance. He promotes a mindset centered on collaboration, proactive problem-solving and achieving tangible results.

A first "Teams" interview will be scheduled with Olivia. You will take 2 personality questionnaires. She will want to know more about you, as a person and as a professional. She will assess your motivations and answer to your questions
You will have a second interview with John Verkaik (our Group Data Analytics Director) and Aurelie Mordant (our HQ HRBP)
The last interview will take place with Brieuc Decaux (our Group FP&A Director) and José Voisin (our CIO).
