The Canada Public Sector (CANPS) team is looking for an accomplished Senior Program Manager that will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Federal Public Sector Team Leader at Amazon Web Services. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that requires a proactive self-starter with impeccable execution, superb communication and program management skills, and the ability to operate comfortably in an ambiguous, rapidly-evolving environment.

Key job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support and act as a partner to the Federal Public Sector Team Leader, helping to drive and reinforce the strategy and vision for the team

  • Manage the Team Leader's priorities, projects, and commitments, ensuring efficient use of time and resources

  • Act as a liaison between the Federal Public Sector team and other key stakeholders across AWS, escalating issues and coordinating decision-making as needed

  • Lead special initiatives and cross-functional projects on behalf of the team, serving as a project manager and bringing together the right resources

  • Develop presentations, reports, and other materials to communicate progress, surface challenges, and influence key decisions

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to provide the Team Leader with insights and recommendations

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within the team

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggle multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
