The Canada Public Sector (CANPS) team is looking for an accomplished Senior Program Manager that will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Federal Public Sector Team Leader at Amazon Web Services. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that requires a proactive self-starter with impeccable execution, superb communication and program management skills, and the ability to operate comfortably in an ambiguous, rapidly-evolving environment.
Key job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support and act as a partner to the Federal Public Sector Team Leader, helping to drive and reinforce the strategy and vision for the team
Manage the Team Leader's priorities, projects, and commitments, ensuring efficient use of time and resources
Act as a liaison between the Federal Public Sector team and other key stakeholders across AWS, escalating issues and coordinating decision-making as needed
Lead special initiatives and cross-functional projects on behalf of the team, serving as a project manager and bringing together the right resources
Develop presentations, reports, and other materials to communicate progress, surface challenges, and influence key decisions
Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to provide the Team Leader with insights and recommendations
Foster a culture of collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within the team

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and juggle multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience
Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
