Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Batch Plant Operator for our Sheffield facility located in Ottawa Ontario.
What you’ll get to do
Accurately proportion cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures in batches to load into ready mix trucks.
Work with Production, Transportation, and Dispatch departments regarding material delivery.
Take responsibility for keeping accurate weight, measure, and billing information to ensure proper crediting to customer.
Check inventory control of raw materials, concrete additives and/or specialized materials, and notify appropriate suppliers of production needs.
Ensure the compliance with applicable environmental regulations as it relates to the proper operation of batch plant equipment.
Conduct daily inspections of facilities, complete maintenance and health and safety checklists.
What We Are Looking For
At least 4 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated ability to use MARCOTTE and Command Alcon applications.
Experience operating heavy equipment (front end loader).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the role which often includes repetitive motion and heavy lifting.
Preferred Experience and Skills
Aggregates plant experience.
2 or more years of batch plant experience.
Maintenance experience.
Work Environment
- Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
