Senior Solution Consultant – Customer Intelligence

Location: Oslo, Norway preferred.

We are looking for a Consultant with good understanding of enterprise marketing solutions and the role analytics and machine learning play in modern marketing to drive more relevant digital experiences across the customer journey. As a Solution Consultant you will provide customer facing implementation and technical consulting services for new and existing SAS Customer Intelligence clients and provide a wide range of expertise on digital marketing approach, strategy and solutions.

This role requires business acumen and comfort communicating technical and complicated solutions while helping to understand different paths in solving business objectives. As a trusted adviser, work directly with key customers to understand, architect, position, teach, and advise on the implementation, integration aspects and business architecture in event driven personalization and digital marketing context-based projects. You will provide services support internally to the sales team and provide feedback to product management and R&D on new customer requirements or feature requests from the field.

Responsibilities:

  • Engagement in various phases of the implementation life-cycle including requirements gathering, architecture/design, development, testing and/or training.

  • Evaluate customer business requirements, compile technical design documentation, and architect solutions to ensure successful customer implementations.

  • Assist in scoping and defining work efforts, resource plans, and estimating cost on phases/projects.

  • Prepare and present materials for site visits, project work, and training services.

  • Implement prototypes/demos for use in sales situations and site visits.

  • Implement SAS Customer Intelligence solutions at customer sites or in hosted environments.

  • Compile documentation and conduct knowledge transfer with customers.

  • Create scripts and support the automation of processes related to Customer Intelligence solution implementations.

  • Ensure the quality of the technical deliverables using industry best practices.

  • Develop and maintain internal applications, intellectual property, and tools.

    Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a quantitative field.

  • Experience with marketing automation or digital marketing technologies.

  • Must be a self-starter and have a strong desire to succeed and excel at solving complex problems.

  • Excellent written and oral communication, problem solving, and time management skills.

  • Ability to relate technical concepts to system applications and user needs.

  • Ability to work and learn independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to travel to client locations through the Nordics

  • You have experience with one or more programming languages, maybe you know SAS programming, however it is not a demand.

  • Ability to speak Norwegian or any Scandinavian language with English

In addition to this, it would be an advantage (but not essential) if you meet some of the following criteria:

  • A Digital Marketing background with particular expertise in Web Development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other coding paradigms for digital marketing.

  • Experience with SAS tools such as Base SAS, SAS Macros, and/or stored processes.

  • Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows scripting, process automation.

  • Working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, Db2, or Teradata.
