D&H Field Services, Inc. Farmworker-Livestock in Osakis, Minnesota

Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Farmworker-Livestock to work in Osakis, MN. From: 11/15/2024 - 03/15/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 8 hrs./day 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage range due to experience or merit. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 01/15/2025 NOTE: JOB DUTIES: Feed, water and care for cattle. Prepare calving facility. Help with calving season. Medicate, vaccinate and treat for seasonal sicknesses. Care for newborn calves and nursing mothers during the winter period when they require additional care due to fluctuating temperatures and seasonal sicknesses. Remove snow from farm property. Monitor food and water supplies. Fix and repair fencing damaged by drifting snow. Basic farm maintenance duties such as equipment servicing and shop work. At the employer's sole discretion, applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage or possibly an end-of-season bonus, due to factors including experience, merit, attendance, attitude, and/or skill. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Six (6) months experience. Driver's license within 30 days of hire. Clean driving record required. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
