Air Vent Inc Manufacturing Project Manager - MANUF001756 in Orrick, Missouri

Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Project Manager will coordinate and manage key strategic projects for the Air Vent business and the organization. This role is responsible for managing the design for manufacturability and operations implementation for new metal and plastic products for Air Vent. The individual in this role will act as a liaison between departments, customers, and vendors. They will also be responsible for generating and executing AR's for new equipment and projects for the business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Design Engineers and other departments on design for manufacturability considerations on new products and lead implementation on the operations team.
  • Generate and manage AR's for major capital projects and supervise to make sure they are completed on time and within approved budget.
  • Collaborates with other departments to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete assigned projects.
  • Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs.
  • Recommends and/or analyzes materials, equipment, and practices used in the project.
  • Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors.
  • Compares the actual cost of development project to estimates.
  • Provide engineering, project management, and analysis to determine optimal locations and manufacturing methods to produce ventilation, metal roofing products, and other products throughout the organization.
  • Analyzes equipment, processes, and systems to identify modifications to improve efficiency, increase quality, reduce costs, and improve safety.
  • Responsible for managing cost savings and automation projects exceeding the annual budget.
  • Prepares periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
  • Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
  • Observes safety and security procedures, enforces appropriate action beyond guidelines, reports potentially unsafe conditions, and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline required. At least five years of experience in project management, engineering, systems design, or another related field.

Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly subject to prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Work Conditions:

The employee is occasionally exposed t hot or cold conditions. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. We also always require steel toed shoes and other personal protective equipment.

Travel: 30% - Employee is expected to travel to Dallas as needed to manage projects and to other facilities periodically for training and meetings.
