The role you’ll contribute:

The Inpatient Office Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations and activities of the hospital-based department in conjunction with the Inpatient Practice Manager, Regional Director of Hospital Based Services and facility Medical Director

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Regularly reviews charge, scheduling and other financial reports along with billing practices to ensure physician and office reimbursement is appropriate

  • Properly prepares check requests for Physician Expense Reports, Provider bonus, and additional shifts worked via Reimbursement/Reconciliation form in accordance with policy

  • Demonstrates ability to read and understand expense reports and work with Practice Manager and/or Director of Operations regarding variances. Understands budgetary limitations and helps office to maintain budgetary limits.

  • Properly processes invoices for payment in accordance with hospital policy

  • Is responsible for training and assignment of tasks to the physician affiliate office staff as needed and directed by Practice Manager or Regional Director of Hospital Based Services

  • Participates in monthly staff meetings.Minutes and a roster are maintained.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications :

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

  • 1 – 2 years’ experience as a lead role in a medical and/or business setting or other supervisory related role, with or without direct reports coordinator experience

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in management in either medical practice or business setting

  • Associates Degree preferred
