Naval Air Systems Command FINANCIAL MANAGER in Orlando Naval Warfare Center, Florida

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGER as the Assistant Deputy Comptroller, Naval Air Warfare Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Comptroller Group. Responsibilities You will interpret and apply policy and guidance as it applies to a Navy Working Capital Fund activity. You will be responsible for the appropriateness of funds to be charged for services to be provided. You will provide guidance based on NAVAIR and NAWCAD policy for Payroll and P-Card services to site personnel. You will serve as NAWCAD Comptroller representative for financial issues with NAWCTSD. You will provide local support and guidance for Audit Readiness activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12/13) or pay band (NM-04) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Applying concepts, principle, practices, laws and regulations of budgeting and/or financing and their relation to subordinate and senior levels; 2) Providing advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organization programs and activities; 3) Developing and implementing budgetary/financial policies; 4) Leading, supervising, motivating and counseling employees. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This is an EMERGENCY ESSENTIAL (E-E) position based on specific duties associated with the Navy's Continuity of Operations (NAVCOOP) activities. As such your position will require you to be available to carry out Navy Mission Essential Functions (MEFs) during national security emergencies and events requiring all or part of the Navy to relocate or reconstitute. NAVCOOP provides for the continuity of Navy MEFs during conditions when normal operations have been impaired or made impossible. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
