SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST- SLP - School
Experience success from day one as aSpeech-Language Pathologistat a school district inOrlando, FLthat will equip you to succeed! This temporary position offers a Monday through Friday schedule forthe remainder of the 2023-24 school year.Ideal candidates will haverecent school, early childhood, or pediatrics experience, excel in independent time management and a fast-paced environment, and have excellent communication skills. This district understands the importance of a supportive network of SLPs and leadership and makes that very readily available.
PAY:
$1,612/weekly gross
$43/hourly
37.5 hours/week

CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for thisSpeech Language Pathologistopportunity include, but are not limited to:
Serves as a resource to school staff members in the development of a balanced program for oral communication and speech improvement
Provides a therapeutic program to meet individual needs of speech and hearing handicapped children
Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring to suspected and identified speech and language impairments
Provides a thorough assessment and diagnosis of articulation, voice, hearing, stuttering, and language impairments
Provides screening to identify speech-handicapped children at regular intervals and specified levels
Provides appropriate individualized programs of therapy to meet individual students' needs and to correct existing speech or language handicaps
Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement therapy by making suggestions for the student's daily activities
Provides information, support, and counseling to parents and families when appropriate
Provides in-service education and serves as a consultant to teachers and school members on topics concerning speech improvement
Keeps thorough ongoing records for the individual student receiving therapy or other school-provided speech services
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THESPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST:
Successful completion of National Certification Examination
1+ yearsof recent pediatrics/school-based experience preferred
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
Valid SLP license in FL
ASHA certification
