Technical Expertise

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) with semiconductor process equipment knowledge

  • Provides technical leadership and direction to a global team of engineers

  • Ability to gather customer requirements and create a product/project specification

  • Proficient in 2D/3D CAD design; ability to create mechatronics design concepts

  • An understanding of materials and structural design

  • An understanding of pneumatics and electronic actuation systems

  • An understanding of basic electrical design and electrical devices (i.e. switches, load cells, photo electrics, vision sensors etc.)

  • Ability to contribute and lead teams in the area of VAVE and DFx activities

  • Ability to analyze engineering calculations, models, and drawings to determine sufficiency to meet design requirements including applicable SEMI standards

  • A working knowledge of safety systems and safety risk assessments

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers and Celestica engineering teams

  • Develop and present design proposals based on customer requirements

  • Analyze trade-offs in complex systems and recommend solutions

  • Participate in the development and implementation of technical solutions

  • Create test plans to validate the performance of systems

  • Keep up to date with relevant semiconductor industry knowledge and regulations

  • Exhibit good communication skills and ability to develop customer relationships

  • Provide technical advice and oversight on development projects

Physical Demands

  • Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.

  • Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.

  • Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

Typical Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in semiconductor process equipment and wafer automation

  • Fluent in English

Typical Education

• BS or MS in Mechanical/Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering

Salary Range: $116K - $175K. Location: This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
