NBC Universal Project Manager I - Digital Production Program Management in Orlando, Florida

Universal Orlando Resort believes in-person collaboration is key to our success. Many of our Team Members work in a hybrid capacity, contributing from the workplace a minimum of three days per week. JOB SUMMARY:

The Project Manager I for the Knowledge Management Team will lead and coordinate projects aimed at enhancing the knowledge management system for the Universal Destinations & Experiences Team Members. This role will focus on ensuring that Team Members have access to accurate, up-to-date information to deliver superior customer service. The Project Manager will collaborate and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, including technology, operations, marketing, and customer support, to implement and manage improvements to knowledge-sharing platforms, content updates, and training resources.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Digital Project Management

  • Creates project timelines in project management software (Workfront)

  • Ensures all relevant information and assets are available, relayed to creative and marketing teams for refinement ceremony, assignment and execution

  • Ensures deliverables are reviewed in line with program and project timelines and requirements

  • Manages all project change orders

  • Ensures all program/campaign tactics are approved by LP and/or Legal prior to final file handoff when applicable

  • Works and communicates with digital content production teams when applicable

  • Flags project scope creep

  • Identifies and helps to alleviate blockers

Project Administration

  • Works with internal or external vendors to estimate production needs, order work and ensure delivery when applicable

  • Oversee review and resolution of uknow user questions/issues via email correspondence and project management software in a timely manner through partnering with appropriate stakeholders and internal SMEs across UDX destinations to verify information and escalate issues where necessary. Proactively contribute to continuous process improvement by effectively identifying and addressing issues to ensure there is consistent alignment between internal partners.

  • Provides support to Communications and Knowledge Management Team in creating cross-divisional communications that are consistent with company-wide initiatives and timelines.

  • Advocate for user experience, engagement and the culture of knowledge sharing to understand how to continue to drive value on behalf of the users and in support of organizational goals.

  • Participates in Agile team ceremonies including identifying and presenting creative projects in End of Sprint Demos with creative team

  • Works with Digital & Technology Project Management leadership team to align processes as necessary, establish and update SOPs and onboarding materials, find efficiencies and identify and remove process and project blockers

Resource Management

  • Alert Senior Management team, Scrum Master and Marketing Owner of any potential concerns or issues with meeting key client deliverables due to resourcing.

  • Monitor day to day project activities and resourcing, identifying potential instances of under or overutilization and actively work with the creative project management leadership and Agile team to address and solve those issues.

  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university required. Preferred degree disciplines: Marketing, Communications, Marketing/Mass Communications, Advertising, Project Management, Business, Organizational Management, Graphic Design, Art Design.

    EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years in a business environment with focus on overseeing tactical execution

  • Experience with external and in-house creative agencies or marketing/advertising is strongly preferred

  • Experience with project management workflow software (Workamajig, Basecamp, Workfront, MS Project, etc.) a plus, Workfront strongly preferred

  • Proficiency or working knowledge of MAC OS and Adobe Creative Suite, and digital asset management software (MediaValet) also a plus.

  • Requires a high level of tact and diplomacy in dealing with key stakeholders and upper management.

  • Ability to work well with people and build strong partnerships.

  • A general understanding of processes and procedures for Universal Destinations & Experiences Park Operations, Ticket/Package/Annual Pass Sales, and Marketing.

  • Proven written, editing, and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Project management skills, including strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple demands simultaneously in fast paced environment.

  • Thorough understanding of studio/graphic arts and creative workflow processes. Preferred

  • Strong working knowledge and proven experience with print production processes and techniques (artwork, pre-press, printing.) preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge and proven experience with digital development and production processes and techniques (web, mobile, CRM, social, etc.) preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Scrum/Agile processes and ceremonies preferred
