Lockheed Martin Production Operations Manager / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description:

You will be the Production Operations Manager for the Solid Rocket Motor Production Team (SRM Production Team). Our team provides Manufacturing, Process, and Industrial Design Engineering support to the Design Engineering Team to ensure reliable, affordable and produceable designs for Solid Rocket Motors as part of the new SRM Product Center. The Team will provide Value Stream mapping, process control, tooling, DFM/DFA, Manufacturing Process Planning and Readiness evaluations to the SRM Product Team.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Production Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing multiple capital, direct, and Overhead projects simultaneously.

• Leading a matrix-managed team of Production engineers, Planning and Control, Integrated Planning, and Cost Control, and IPT Leads.

• Managing Early phases of production to meet Safety, Cost, Quality, and Schedule requirements.

• Identifying required area of expertise and manages specialists in the Production Operations arena to support new product development and transfer to production

- demonstration of specification conformity

- Producibility

- DFM/DFA

- production flow, value-stream, and continuous improvement.

- Ensures conformity to current DoD 4145 requirements for production.

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum of completed bachelors degree in a technical discipline and 10+ years of professional level experience which should also include the following:

Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience in leading Manufacturing, Test, Industrial, or Production Engineers.

Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience as Production representative on development projects or programs.

Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience as Leader or Manager.

Must be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Desired Skills:

Experience in the production of deliverables containing energetics.

Experience in managing in a matrix or cross functional environment.

Leading in a transformational environment.

Experience leading Integrated Product Teams to meet Safety, Cost, Quality and Schedule commitments.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
