Cummins Inc. Power Generation Technician in Orlando, Florida
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented In-Shop Power Generation Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution Business in Orlando, FL.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Completing repair activities on generators or components
Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner
Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
Maintain detailed records of service
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
Maintain own tools
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
Broad mechanical and electrical repair and maintenance abilities.
High Voltage / Low Voltage experience.
Capable of electrical repair and maintenance with minimal supervision – hands on exposure to working on power generation products.
(Intermediate):
Advanced troubleshooting and repairs of generators, transfer switches, and auxiliary components.
Startup and repair of bypass transfer switch.
Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Power Generation / Electrical Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Current relevant electrical certification
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience working with power generation products High Voltage/Low Voltage practical experience
QUALIFICATIONS
This is a key position in our Coach Care department requiring the ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of coach issues.
This position not only diagnoses and repairs mobile generators but also will be required to perform PM's and minor engine repairs on large RV's and coaches.
Experience with chassis diagnoses and repair for coaches and RV's is a plus.
DOT
A current valid license is required for this role
Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
