Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Business Management Manager 2. Preferred location, Orlando, FL, though this position can be located at any Northrop Grumman facility. The manager will partner with the Portfolio Manager, and Program Managers to manage all financials to achieve the organization’s financial and strategic objectives.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record in leading a diverse team as well as the ability to promote the professional development of the business management workforce, fostering a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around ethics and integrity, employee engagement, affordability, innovation, value growth and continuous improvement. The candidate will maintain the highest level of commitment to quality, compliance and internal controls in adherence to company values and ethics. The position may require some travel to customer and other off-site locations.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead a team of geographically dispersed Program Control Analysts in executing a broad scope of business management activities to support program execution and compliance

  • Collaboration with Program Managers and OU/BU leadership

  • Provide financial business analysis and reporting with the ability to clearly communicate with senior management as it relates to financial program status and analyses

  • Develop business strategy and forecasting, through internal or external deliverables such as the Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)

  • Oversee key line forecasting, work authorization, implementation of program budgeting, risk management, estimate at complete development, and various financial reporting activities

  • Interface with diverse functional areas to ensure risks are understood and financial performance is achieved

  • Support proposal activities from a financial and strategic perspective

  • Develop professional talent within the operating unit

  • Lead and support internal and external program audits

  • Interface with customer leadership on contract execution (CDRL submittals, funding requirements, invoicing, etc.)

  • Management of financial key-line forecasting (Awards, Sales, OM, Cash Flow), work authorization, execution of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and contractual reporting, program budgeting, financial estimate at complete development, and various financial reporting activities

  • Cash Management to ensure timely invoicing and collections

  • Develop professional talent within the operating unit

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of related experience - OR – Master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience.

  • Earned Value Proficiency including the Earned Value Guidelines and EAC development

  • Prior people management experience

  • Experience preparing and presenting financial analysis to team and management

  • Experience with financial forecasting systems (i.e. Cognos) and ERP systems (i.e. SAP/S4)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance

  • Current, active Secret Clearance

  • 10+ years of industry related experience in finance, accounting, or program control

  • Experience with Cognos Financial Forecasting System, Cobra Earned Value Management System, and SAP ERP 1

  • Knowledge of government program budgeting and forecasting, as well as Annual Operating Plan development

  • Understanding of DoD contracts and FAR/DFAR

  • Understanding of Government Cost Accounting Standards

Salary Range: $108,400 - $162,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
