Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This NH-0346-03 Logistics Management Specialist position is located with PEO STRI, Orlando, FL 32826 This is a TERM, time limited position NTE 3 Yrs. It may be extended up to a total of six (6) years. May be converted after two years of appointment. Responsibilities Provide guidance to the contractor and IPT on logistics subject areas such as technical manuals, training materials, etc. Independently resolves problems or issues impacting programs that extend across the Program Executive Office. Serves as a logistics Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the policy, procedures, and execution of acquisition logistics. Prepare complex and technical contract requirements for logistics. Evaluate contractor deliverables to determine if deliverables are in accordance with contract requirements. Serves as sole logistician supporting especially complex or highly visible acquisition programs. General experience is defined as performing duties that include:1)Providing logistics management support in the area of maintainability/reliability, maintenance planning, manpower/personnel support and test equipment, supply support, training, facilities, technical documentation, and/or transportation packaging and handling; 2) Convening and chairing meetings to assure timely accomplishments and resolve differences to achieve ILS objectives; 3) Assisting with the planning and implementation of documents such as Acquisition Plans, Decision Coordinating Papers, Statements of Work, Procurement Work Directives, instructions, contracts, and/or Coordinated Test Plans; AND 4) Experience in Foreign Military Sales Logistics ensuring compliance with national security and national military strategies and all Department of Defense (DoD) and U. S. Army Security Cooperation manuals and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (GS-11).
