Job Title: Diesel Mechanic
Job Description
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel trucks ranging from 28 feet in length to 56 feet. The majority of the fleet consists of Freightliner trucks with specific engines. The role involves working on engines, brakes, transmissions, and completing daily preventative maintenance in addition to repair work. Additionally, the candidate will work on Toyota forklifts and Crown pallet jacks as needed. Computer literacy and knowledge of diagnostic software and scanner tools are required.

Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain semi-trucks and trailers.
Perform 80% of work on diesel equipment, including both preventative and reactive maintenance.
Make repairs on trailers, including wiring brake lights, replacing brakes, changing tires, and repairing hydraulics.
Perform DOT inspections and document findings.
Replace water pumps and AC systems as needed.
Retrieve work orders from an iPad and log repairs and parts checkouts.
Weld or use torches when necessary.

Work Environment
The work environment is clean and organized, non-climate controlled but fully covered with fans. The available shifts are 3rd shift from 11pm-7:30am, Sunday to Thursday, and 1st shift from 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday. The latter is a Lead Master Technician role requiring 10+ years of diesel experience, all 8 ASE Certifications, and CDL Class A experience is a huge plus.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00
