System One DevOps Systems Engineer (Containerization & IaC) in Orlando, Florida
System One is seeking a DevOps Systems Engineer for a full-time/permanent opportunity in Orlando, FL. Applicants must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Security Clearance or currently possess and active Secret Security Clearance for consideration. As a DevOps System Engineer – Containerization and IaC, you will be providing essential containerization and Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities to a team building and maintaining a development system for a large software effort. You will be supporting the build and deployment automation needs of the development pipeline, along with maintaining the environment that hosts the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools themselves.
Work closely with software development and IT operations teams to understand their needs, making sure the development tools, system, and infrastructure are aligned to support business goals.
Assist in Automating the deployment process to ensure that code can be quickly and reliably deployed to various environments, including virtualized and container-based environments.
Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Ansible to deploy built software and the development system itself.
Develop and follow best practices for source control, versioning, testing, and deploying Infrastructure-as-Code scripts and tools.
Leverage containerization tools including Docker and VMware Tanzu. Have a deep understanding of containerization and container management.
Ensure proper documentation and knowledge sharing among team members to maintain best practices and promote innovation.
Monitor and troubleshoot containerization efforts, identifying issues and opportunities to improve system performance, stability, and security.
Specific Required Skills
Strong DevOps tools and methods experience, strong understanding of Agile best practices including software development life cycle, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment. Dedication to building strong, robust development systems.
Strong experience with Ansible to perform configuration management, package management, software deployment, and software configuration across multiple platforms.
Experience with containerization at the individual container level (Docker), container repository level, and orchestration tools (Tanzu).
Excellent communication skills: ability to tailor messaging and documentation based on the audience
Required skills:
5+ years of relevant experience. Background and/or degree in Computer science or IT administration.
Current Security+ certification strongly desired. Linux+, Network+, and other related certifications are desired
