Sanpete Construction Landscapers in OREM, Utah

We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Landscaper to join our team. As a Landscaper, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces for residential, commercial, and public properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, an understanding of horticulture and landscape design, and the ability to work effectively with a team or independently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and care for lawns, gardens, and other outdoor spaces, ensuring they are neat, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Mow lawns, trim bushes, edge flower beds, and remove weeds using various hand tools and machinery.
  • Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation, ensuring they are appropriately placed for growth and appearance.
  • Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed to promote healthy plant growth and prevent pest infestations.
  • Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water use.
  • Perform basic landscape design tasks, such as arranging plants, selecting materials, and designing layouts.
  • Remove debris, dead plants, and leaves from outdoor spaces, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Operate and maintain landscape equipment such as lawnmowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, and sprayers.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each project.
  • Work with customers to understand their landscaping needs and preferences, providing recommendations and solutions.
  • Follow safety protocols when using tools and equipment and when working in outdoor environments.
  • Assist in seasonal tasks such as preparing landscapes for winter or spring planting.
  • Provide general maintenance services such as mulching, aerating lawns, and cleaning outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal education in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred, but on-the-job training is available.
  • Knowledge of plants, trees, flowers, and proper horticultural practices.
  • Ability to operate landscaping machinery and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred, especially for positions requiring transportation of equipment.
