Instrumentation Laboratory Senior Maintenance Mechanic in Orangeburg, New York

Additionally, our Technology Center for Hemostasis and Blood Gas Reagents is in Orangeburg, NY, and our Technology Center for Whole Blood Hemostasis is in San Diego, CA.

Position Summary:

Performs the maintenance repair, overhaul and setup of all the plant operating equipment.

Key Accountabilities: 

Examines and diagnoses plant equipment to correct operating difficulties including filling and packaging machines, lyophilization and support equipment, stoppering and closure machinery, labeling, packaging and finishing equipment, conveying, transferring and materials handling equipment.
Replaces or repairs frozen or worn bearings, broken or worn parts, leaking supply lines and/or systems, gears, shafts, drive sprockets, chains, valves, belts; electrical or mechanical and/or hydraulic drive and/or control systems.
Disassembles, cleans, oils, greases, repairs, and reassembles equipment in need of overhaul or as a preventive maintenance procedure.
Performs installation, repair and/or maintenance work on plant building facilities.
Constructs offices and relocates office areas as needed.
Records, files, maintains and makes readily available all records, logs, parts' lists, suppliers' lists, work records (both performed and to be performed), stock records, manuals and/or all other required maintenance records and/or files relating to all plant operating equipment.

Min Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

High School diploma or equivalent 7 years of experience in plant maintenance.

This position requires the ability to lift and move materials per current OSHA standards
