About you and this role:
In this role, you will serve as anEnvironmental ManagerforDow's Sabine River Operations Plastics Operating Unitslocated inOrange, TX. Sabine River Operations (SRO) strategically located in the heart of the Dow Gulf Coast sites. As part of these high value sites in the Dow fleet, you will have opportunity to learn and deepen your skills across several different technologies and processes.
You will lead department and site environmental compliance and the implementation of the environmental management system in air, water, and waste. You will maintain the license to operate for the site or hub as part of ensuring Dow continues to be a leader in sustainability.

The Details:
As the Environmental Manager, you will be ready to take on the following challenges and bring value to Dow as you:
Support the site and departments in ensuring compliance with legislation by coordinating and managing Government Agency visits.
Evaluate cost-effective environmental improvement initiatives and projects that achieve Dow sustainability goals.
Lead implementation of new/modified environmental regulations/permits by incorporating on-going operating discipline (procedures, process control, task scheduling and verification processes).
Lead environmental performance improvement of assigned plant(s), site, hub, and business.
Coordinate, implement, and optimize environmental programs, including global corporate initiatives (World Leading Operations, Climate Change, Circular Economy, etc.) across site/hub.
Participate in incident investigations and the corrective action process for environmental issues and opportunities, leading some Root Cause Investigations (RCIs).
Prepare various regulatory reports for agency submittal following and/or establishing documented procedures.
Initiate and support management of change (MOC) by thoroughly reviewing changes for potential regulatory/permit impact to proactively address change.
Act as Agency Visit expert and liaison for facility-level investigations providing requested data.
Coach, train, and mentor EH&S technicians, as well as Operations and Maintenance personnel.
Perform site or plant gap assessments around EH&S work process implementation.
Develop, review, monitor, create and deliver training as appropriate.
Act as a Plant resource for related Environmental information on procedures, guidelines, and standards.
Ensure compliance tasks are completed.
Participate in the Environmental related reviews and projects, as required.

Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in EH&S and manufacturing or operations related experience.

Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, with ability to learn new systems quickly.
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
