Job Description:
We are currently seeking a proactive and dedicated Temporary Medical Assistant to join our surgery center, with a strong focus on covering duties pertaining to our Unit Secretary. The Medical Assistant will be performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure our healthcare facility runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing administrative support including scheduling appointments, handling patient check-ins, maintaining medical records, and managing billing.
Maintaining exam rooms and ordering supplies.
Taking and recording patient history and personal information.
Preparing patients for examination, undertaking basic diagnostic tests, and preparing medical instruments.
Assisting surgeons and nurses during minor procedures.
Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of medical practices, laws, and ethics.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Relevant certification and training as a Medical Assistant.
Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably in a surgery center.
Deep understanding of HIPAA regulations.
Outstanding communication skills.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
