Weco is a value-added single-source contract manufacturer of machined components, finished fabricated sheet metal, and assembled metal products. PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Provide high quality of workmanship on all products while maintaining the workflow in the production department to meet the customer needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Weld parts together using both welding or brazing and any combination of welding processes.

  • Move and lift different materials during your shift. These materials may include but are not limited to: Sheet Metal, Stainless Steel, Aluminum

May need to push and pull the materials as well.

  • Run production machines after being trained for operation and safety.

  • Cut different materials during the course of the day.

  • Read customers specifications and follow them to meet the highest quality standards.

  • Read setup instructions for the operation of machines working on during the course of the day.

  • Work safely with manual and power tools after being instructed on their operation procedures.

  • Clean working area after completing tasks in that area.

Carry out other duties as necessary to perform function within state and federal regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma preferred. Desire to work with machinery.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and write routine correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with staff and other individuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to maintain confidential information. Performs duties in a professional manner, maintaining the high quality of workmanship.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, push, pull, stand, walk, handle equipment in motion, work around sharp tools, material handling, twist, bend, kneel, grasp with both hands, reach. Field of vision and finger dexterity is required.

Must be able to lift between 25 to 50 pounds. Must be able to assist lifting Between 75 and 100 with help from co-workers or machinery.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate equipment including production machines, computer, manual tools, power tools, and work with material made from sheet metal, polycarbs, aluminum, and stainless steel .

OTHER:

Require to dress in production appropriate attire. No open toe shoes allowed.

Hair should be neatly cut and long hair must be tied back when operating machinery. Business may require longer than average hours in order to meet the needs of customers. Employee may be requested to comply with overtime needs in order to meet deadlines established by customers and to work different work shifts.

High noise levels, hearing protection gear is provided. Employees must wear safety glasses when in production area.
