Amazon Virtual Vendor Flex Manager, Virtual Vendor Flex in Ontario, California

Job summary

Amazon Fulfillment Services is expanding its network of Vendor Flex nodes and is seeking a leader to manage Virtual Vendor Flex (VVF). We are looking for someone that is self-propelled, loves to deep dive and conduct root cause analysis, and operates well within a virtual team paradigm.

This role will focus on vendor management and assuring node compliance to Delivery Estimated Accuracy (DEA), Productivity, and Inventory Management. In addition, to creating and modifying processes to enable standardization and scale.

Daily operations will consist, but not be limited to the following:

• Management of 1-5 vendors and up to 20 3PL fulfillment nodes

• Barrier removal fluid end-to-end fulfillment operations to include, Carrier troubleshooting, Labor/schedule troubleshooting, Cycle Count and Cycle Count DPMO troubleshooting, & DEA troubleshooting.

• Change Management of assigned vendors

• Operations reporting and performance bridging

• Deploying to VVF nodes to give on site assistance to change/launch

Supervisory Responsibilities: You and your vendor team are responsible for getting Amazon customers their orders. You are responsible for ensuring that you have deep rapport and synchronization with your assigned vendors, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs. In addition, one of the most important aspects of your job is to accept and lead change initiatives. Innovation has made us the global company that we are today.

This role will require 70% travel.

Additional Job Elements:

Lift and move totes/product up to 49 pounds each Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head -Walking in the Vendor Flex warehouses and area FCs with great frequency (facilities may be over a quarter mile in length)

Continual standing and/or walking Ability to work in construction /distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven track record of successful virtual work and management

• Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience

• Work a flexible schedule; be able to travel and work while abroad

• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.

• Industry experience in: Operations Management, Supply Chain, Shipping, Data Analysis, Process/Continuous Improvement

• Experience as a vendor manager

• Experience with process improvements (Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma)

• Experience with fulfillment, site launching, & SSP (Sort Tech)

Virtual Vendor Flex is a fulfillment operations element nested within the Operational Excellence/ACES space of Vendor Flex.

Basic Qualifications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $61,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $100,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
