Ideal candidate:

<li>Has a proven, strong mechanical aptitude <li>Has working knowledge of machinery; hydraulic, electrical and other systems and components. <li>Can read and understand machine blueprints, technical instructions, and electrical schematics. <li>Has basic data entry experience and basic math skills. <li>Has a positive attitude. <li>Enjoys problem-solving and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. <li>Is self-directed, with time management and organizational skills.

<p> Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

<li>Lead the routine maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and other miscellaneous facility issues. <li>Follow and complete the preventative maintenance schedule. <li>Train operators and plant employees on routine preventative maintenance. <li>Prepare maintenance reports and documentation as needed. <li>Learn the basic function, troubleshooting and repair of production machinery and equipment. <li>Follow and/or develop preventative maintenance schedules. <li>Supply technical support and answer operator questions as needed. <li>Follow all lock-out tag-out procedures during machine maintenance. <li>Maintain organized inventory of machine parts and repair tools. <li>Actively take part in continuous improvement measures, kanban and SMED events. <li>Maintain a safe and clean work environment. <li>Understand company Quality Management System and adhere to policies and procedures. <p>

Qualifications & Requirements

<li>High School Diploma or equivalent minimal; associates or technical certification preferred. <li>2+ yrs. mechanic experience, manufacturing environment preferred. <li>Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word. <li>Must be able tolift 50lbs. <li>Able to stand for duration of shift.
