Job Summary

The Surgical Technician (non-certified) is responsible for functioning as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures. Follows established protocols for cleaning, decontaminating, preparing and packaging, disinfecting or sterilizing and storing medical and surgical supplies and equipment.

Education and/or Experience

  • HS DIploma or GED required.

  • Graduate from a surgical technology program accredited through ARC/STSA in collaboration with the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Preferred.

  • Graduate of a Nursing Program as a Licensed Practical Nurse preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 30 days of employment required.

Work Schedule

  • Hours will vary, 8-hour shifts; PRN (as needed)

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
