Waste Connections Diesel Mechanic in O'Neill, Nebraska
J & J Sanitation, a Waste Connections Company, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in O'Neil, NE. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Pay range: $24 - $28 per hour + $5,000 Bonus!
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
Strong knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and environments
Roles and Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as Garbage Trucks, excavators, loaders, and graders
Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe work environment
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
Complete daily logs and reports to track equipment usage and maintenance activities
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure smooth operations
Adhere to company policies and regulations
Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities
