Robert Half Assistant Controller in Onamia, Minnesota
Description We are offering an opportunity for an Assistant Controller based in Onamia, Minnesota. The role involves managing various accounting functions, overseeing payroll, and handling month-end processes, among other responsibilities. The job function requires a hybrid remote work arrangement with a need to come into the office once a week.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage accounting functions including journal entries, financial statements, and reporting
• Handle payroll with precision and timeliness
• Supervise the month-end close process and ensure adherence to deadlines
• Implement and maintain accounting controls in accordance with US GAAP
• Utilize Workday for various accounting tasks
• Supervise a team of 4, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Manage the accounting cycle, ensuring a systematic approach to recording and analyzing financial information. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related field
• Comprehensive understanding and proficiency in Accounting Functions
• Demonstrated experience in Auditing
• Proficient in Payroll management
• Demonstrable experience in Accounting close process
• Familiarity with Accounting cycle
• Ability to handle Accounting Entries
• Proven experience in maintaining Accounting Control
• Strong knowledge of GAAP Accounting
• Proficiency in US GAAP
• Experience in Month End Close
• Proficiency in Workday software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong ethical framework and professional integrity
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
