Position Summary
Pressley Ridge Grant Gardens in Ona, WV has a current opening for a Master Teacher/Counselor (MT/C). MT/Cs assists the supervisor in developing, implementing, and monitoring of treatment plans and procedures. The Master Teacher/Counselor resides with assigned youth according to a variable pattern, required by program’s schedule.
Essential Responsibilities
Building and maintaining positive relationships with youth.
Supervision and support of teacher/counselor staff.
Consults with treatment team.
Assures routine and program procedures and expectations.
Assures safety and well-being.
Documentation and record keeping.
Qualifications
Clearances. State Police/FBI clearance per state regulation; Child Abuse Registry clearance; any additional background checks/clearances required by state governing bodies.
Valid driver’s license and current vehicle insurance.
Working Conditions
Physical Demands. Requires vision, hearing (with the exception of Pressley Ridge School for the Deaf) and a moderate to high level of physical activity including; sitting, standing, walking lifting and carrying as required. Must be able to meetthe demands and complete Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
Environmental Factors. Indoors/Outdoors: Residential treatment facility, school, home, community.
Working Hours. Overnight hours, days based on program need.
