Job Title: Structural Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the structural design of products using drafting tools, computer-assisted design (CAD), and drafting equipment and software. The role requires experience in Revit or 3D design, with a focus on the preparation and modification of structural designs for industrial structures and systems across multiple projects.
Responsibilities
Perform and prepare structural designs and modifications of industrial structures and systems for assigned projects.
Conduct structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes, specifications, and standards such as AISC, IBC, RMI, and ASCE.
Create layouts and detailed portions of projects using schematic layouts and sales drawings.
Engage in business development activities (25% of the role).
Manage projects effectively (15% of the role).
Focus on structural engineering tasks (60% of the role).
Essential Skills
4 years of experience in structural design, preferably in industrial food/beverage and chemical settings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience with structural design, structural drawing, and structural modification.
EIT certification and willingness to complete a PE license within 12 months of hire.
Experience with RISA and Enercalc analysis software.
Familiarity with current codes including IBC, AISC, ACI, and ASCE.
Proficiency in structural steel and reinforced concrete design.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil-Structural Engineering.
Self-motivated and able to take direction and run with a project.
Experience with 3D scanning and industrial design.
