Aerotek Skilled Laborer in Omaha, Nebraska
Our company is in search of a candidate to work on a civil construction crew in the construction of concrete culverts and walls. Candidates will work on a crew of 3-5 consisting of a machine operator, a carpenter and 2-3 laborers.
Candidates in this position will gain a strong understanding of grade and pipe pitch.
Candidates that can read blueprints and plans are strongly encouraged to apply.
Description:
Will need to handle various duties on a construction site from clean up, setting forms, heavy lifting, use of hand tools and shovels to dig trenches.
-utilities- Installing water/sewer/sanitary pipe
-forms- Setting up concrete forms for water chambers that the water pipes flow into. Essentially a big underground concrete box.
-clean up with shovel and other hand tools
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Will need to handle various duties on a construction site from clean up, setting forms, etc.
Need to be able to work long hours in adverse weather.
12+ months of recent job tenure in construction. Will also look at jumpiness previously
Valid DL and reliable transportation
Utility experience (preferred)
Pipe laying (preferred)
Concrete experience (preferred)
Must be comfortable will lifting 50-70 Ibs on a regular basis
