Job Description Summary
Responsible for leading and managing the testing effort on one or more
applications. Responsible for providing daily coordination of QA tasks, testing
of enterprise applications on different platforms and implementation of overall
testing standards established by QA-TCoE.
Essential Job Functions
Oversee all aspects of quality assurance includingestablishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing newtools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects ofreleases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internallyand externally.
Lead and mentor QA team members, as well as manageoutside contract testers.
Develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans andprocedures (manual and automated).
Manages, plans, implements, and deploys testingstrategies and activities across projects and testing teams.
Manages the implementation of cost effective and"industry best practice" quality assurance and testing solutionswhile retaining strong levels of quality control.
Partners across various teams including ProductDevelopment and Software Engineering to help the quality and testingtransformation.
Leads, coordinate, and execute Quality Assurancetesting activities for projects and maintenance activities throughdifferent phases of software development lifecycle.
Other Job Duties
Assist in test data preparation and management toexecute meaningful test scenarios.
Coordinate set up of Quality Assurance testingenvironments required for different types of testing activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience :
Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience.
Requires deep knowledge of job area typicallyobtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Typically viewed as a specialist withindiscipline.
May have broad knowledge of project management.
Solid understanding of Agile QA concepts,practices, processes and tools.
Experience in creating and executing automatedtests on mobile devices (Android/iOS)
Experience with browser UI and API testautomation tools. (Test Complete, Selenium, SOAPUI, UFT).
Technical background (databases, client-serverarchitecture, programming)
Experience in verifying and validating Webbased applications, testing Web Services to include XML, HTML and SOAPUI.
Extensive experience in preparing Test Cases,Test Scenarios, Test Scripts, Test Reports, Defect Tracking in projectsgoverned by an Agile or Waterfall methodology.
Experience in Functional testing, User AcceptanceTesting, Integration testing, System testing, Sanity testing, Backend testing,Compatibility, and Usability Testing of Client/server and UI / Web basedApplications.
Practical knowledge of software development andproject management processes.
- Bachelors Degree Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
