METROPOLITAN UTIL DIST Cyber Security Administrator I in Omaha, Nebraska

**Position Summary Under close supervision, the Cyber Security Administrator I is responsible for the administration, implementation and operation of information security solutions, assisting in the developing, review and updating of policies, procedures and standards. Relies on experience and judgment to prepare for and respond to security risks and threats, to plan and accomplish goals, to evaluate, respond to, and mitigate threats, and to drive security initiatives across IT and the District.

Minimum Requirements

  • Preferred - Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of cyber security

Education

  • Required - Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study or
  • Required - Associate's Degree with at least two (2) years of experience in related field or
  • Required - High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) with demonstrated significant experience

Licenses, Certifications and/or Testing

  • Required - Have and maintain a valid drivers license Upon Hire
  • Preferred - CompTIA, ISACA, ISC2, SANS Upon Hire
  • Required - Pre-employment Background Check and Drug Screen Upon Hire

Knowledge and/or understanding of common regulations and standards such as NIST, CIS, CSA, COBIT, HIPAA, PCI, etc. (Entry proficiency)
