BluePearl Purchasing Coordinator in Olympia, Washington

BluePearl Pet Hospital is now hiring for an energetic, passionate, and driven Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Olympia, WA.

Purchasing Coordinator Pay: $26.75 - $35.45 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience.

The Purchasing Coordinator supports the Commercial function by evaluating and approving vendors, authorizing purchase orders for goods and services, and implementing Commercial strategies.

*Veterinary Medicine Experience Required

As a Purchasing Coordinator you will:

  • Coordinates the ongoing, timely provision of materials and services for hospitals.

  • Works to improve internal processes and procedures and stakeholder engagement for requisitions and contract management, focusing on quality and service levels.

  • Identifies risk and crisis management within the BluePearl network and provides feedback regarding supply chain optimization, how service levels can be improved, and Commercial’s overall effectiveness.

  • Supports Commercial initiatives to drive:

  • Supplier Performance, and Continuous Process Improvement.

  • Total Delivered Cost Reduction.

  • Working Capital/Cash Management Strategies.

  • Stakeholder Engagement.

  • Procure to Pay process enhancements & improvements.

  • Responsible for supply logistics and operational relationships for Support Center including supplies and services spend, communication of service set-up requirements, and management of supplier performance.

  • Drives the Procure-to-Pay Process with internal stakeholders, recommending areas for improvement and simplification.

  • Facilitates the supply chain, internal ordering process optimization, and Procure-to-Pay process for hospitals, handling all supply, quality, or service level issues.

  • Drives and leverage supplier capabilities to reduce Mars TCO in the supply chain.

  • Implements process standardization and optimization strategies across the organization.

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. in all daily activities.

  • Other job duties as assigned.
