Hourly Rate: $22.75
Position Summary:
Full-time MLT position available for our Medical Clinic in the Olympia, WA area. We are looking for a bilingual candidate that can speak English/Spanish. The ideal candidate will have proven excellent customer services skills, demonstrate enthusiastic and professional demeanor, and excel at multi-tasking while an integral part of the care team ensuring patient flow and providing quality patient care in a safe and timely manner. The Medical Laboratory Tech works under the direction of the Admin Lab Director.
The MLT is responsible for performing phlebotomy, diagnostic laboratory test, x-ray procedures (after DOH WA State certified), and electrocardiograms-spirometry (after training) to assist in diagnosing and treating patient’s diseases and conditions. Recognizes unexpected results and instrument malfunction and takes appropriate action. Must be able to analyze the situation and problem solve. Work closely with providers, nursing staff and other clinic personnel to ensure the smooth running of the department. All applicants who have attended a non-territories United States educational institution must have a US license. If applicable foreign translation and credential evaluation is required.
Qualifications and/or Requirements:
Associate’s degree in biology, chemistry, clinical laboratory or physical science. Or through at least 50 weeks of training conducted in military laboratory setting as a Medical Lab Tech.
US Certification/license required.
Minimum 1 year experience in a hospital or clinic setting desired.
Proficient in E H R, PM Excel, Work and other Microsoft Office products.
Knowledge of X-ray is a plus but not required.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
