Description
Our reputable client is seeking a Senior Purchaser to join the company. This Purchaser will research vendors, products, and services and negotiate contracts for the best price and value. If you are an experience purchaser with excellent communication, inventory management and analytical skills, this may be the role for you.
Your responsibilities in this role
Manage supplier relationships with goal of positive relationships and favorable purchasing agreements.
Support new product development team in finding alternative and requested materials to support new product launches.
Attend and engage in meetings with stakeholders and staff
Ensure that goods are delivered on time by working with warehouse and delivery teams
Maintain all records of purchased products
Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors
Write orders to refill stock based on inventory monitoring
Analyze costs and write reports on purchases made
Engage with new vendors and products at events, shows, and exhibitions
Look over products upon delivery and report any issues timely
Review price and quality of potential products, vendors, and services in order to get the best deal
Requirements - Excellent oral and written communications skills
Exceptional organizational skills
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
Associate's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
