As a Software Engineer within our (NGA) Next-Generation Avionics group, you will work with a talented team of engineers responsible for designing and developing advanced software solutions for cutting-edge avionics technology.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, code, and test, and software solutions for avionics display systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, design software architectures, and implement software modules.
Design, develop, and test software applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and user-friendliness.
Troubleshoot and resolve software issues to ensure system performance and reliability
Software architecture and coding
Integration
Feature Definition
Verification and Validation
Analytical skills & software development skills

YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
2+ years experience in software development of embedded products, avionics, or related
WE VALUE
Understanding various software development life cycles, methodologies and tools.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Ada, Python and/or Open GL, as well as real-time operating systems (RTOS) and software development tools
Experience in any of the following is a PLUS :
Avionics products, i.e. Avionics Displays & Graphics, Flight Mgmt, Autopilot, Flight Planning, Flight Controls, Flight Displays (PFD), Traffic Collision Avoidance (TCAS), Crew Alert Messaging (CAS), Terrain, Radios, etc
Understanding of User Application development.
Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
Experience operating in an Agile framework
