This is a Temp-to-Hire position located in Lawrence, KS.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Check Cavitation
Know the different material used
Know how to do a color check
Know and follow all safety rules
Know and follow the GMPS, SQF, & HACCP
Knows where all safety guards are and their purpose
Check cycle time
Clean and lubricate molds
Check drop-out area for parts missing
Respond to Inspector Packers pages
Supply own tools
Do PMs as assigned
Complete all mold performance cards
Keep aisle free of debris and hold Inspector Packers, Material Handler. Floater, and Cleaners accountable for their part
Run reports and enter information in Web EFF
Pass the written test (0-3 Mo Training Packet FCD-00104)
Communicate the events that take place during injection process
Find cycle times and temperatures on HMI
AT Six (6) Months should be able to:
Fill out Trouble Shooting Guides
Fill out shift change report at beginning of shift
Maintain full cavitation and standard cycle times
Know and follow all Safety Rules
Know and follow the GMPs, SQF, HACCP
Work closely with Floater
Responsible for entering machine Efficiencies into Web EFF
Clean Sprue area and carriages on shift
Work with QA on quality issues
Start-up and shut-down molding machines.(completing the safety test, written and hands on)
Articulate potential causes of defects in the product
QUALIFICATIONS:
Have a good work & attendance record
Possess mechanical aptitude
Able to work extended shifts and weekends as necessary
Have good verbal & written communication skills
Possess good math & computer skills
Have a good safety record
Be able to provide own hand tools
Problem solving skills
High School diploma or GED equivalent
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to lift 35 pounds regularly
Ability to climb up and down ladders
Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop and stretch regularly
Ability to work around grease, oil and solvents without adverse reaction
Must be able to differentiate color
