Description

SAIC has an opening for an Information Technology Security Specialist.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The candidate’s primary responsibility will provide assistance to federal Information System Security Officers in the development and interpretation of security policies, procedures, and system security documentation including but not limited to System Security Plans (SSP), contingency planning documentation, Account Management Plans, media handling documents and procedures, privacy assessments, Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), and other related system lifecycle support documents. This support role makes periodic assessments of compliance to existing security policies and procedures and supports external assessments such as the annual SAS70 and IG audits, as well as Continuous Monitoring Assessments (CMA) and System Authorizations (SA). This support role assists the ISSO in ensuring proper operational security posture is maintained for protection of an information system, program, or designated IT assets by serving as an adviser on all matters involving Information system Security (ISS).

Qualifications

Required Experience:

At least three years of experience working in information technology of which at least 1 year involved administering or supporting the administration of system security.

MUST PASS A NATIONAL AGENCY CHECK

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or other related discipline is required. Eight (8) years of relevant experience is equivalent to a Bachelor's degree.
