Position Summary
As a clinical pharmacist, you will review Prior Authorizations, verify proven and/or medically necessary indications and review clinical documentation in support of prior authorization reviews.
The primary function of the clinical pharmacist is to review PA requests, verify proven and/or medically necessary indications and review clinical documentation in support of prior authorization reviews. You will also provide internal pharmacist support to the PA team and member services department therefore excellent oral and written communication skills are needed. The clinical pharmacist will also perform foreign drug reviews, medical record reviews, case analysis, provide clinical support and collaboration for development of new drug policies/revisions to existing drug policies, and clinical projects.
This is a remote, full-time 40 hour per week role. Hours of operation are 4am-7pm AZT, and the Clinical Pharmacist will work a set schedule of 8 hour (5 days/wk) or 10 hour (4 days/wk) shifts within that timeframe with the potential for a future Saturday rotation.
Required Qualifications
1+ Years demonstrated pharmacist experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management
Active, unrestricted pharmacist licensure in the State of Arizona
Active, unrestricted pharmacist licensure in state of residence
Preferred Qualifications
3+ Years in Pharmacy Benefit Management
1+ Years in Clinical Prior Authorizations
Experience with RxClaim
Demonstrated computer proficiency
Education
PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$72,306.00 - $207,648.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
