DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

The role involves actively engaging in the planning of utility relocations for projects before the final design is completed for construction. Offering technical support to utility companies in creating plans, cost estimates, and specifications to facilitate the efficient and cost-effective relocation of utilities from designated construction areas. Establishing and maintaining direct communication with utility companies throughout the process, from utility clearance to letting award and issuing the notice to proceed to the highway contractor. Carrying out on-site inspections of affected utilities to assess the viability of relocation options.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year of experience as a Utility Relocation Technician; or
  • Two years of technical utility relocation work experience and an associate's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or in a design and drafting technology; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of technical utility relocation work experience.
