DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Your role involves acquiring and managing real estate for public use, overseeing outdoor advertising, and controlling junkyards. You will negotiate with property owners, research deed information, and review appraisals to make fair offers. Additionally, you will assist with relocation efforts, provide technical assistance, and resolve policy and contract-related issues. Moreover, you will handle property management activities and ensure the proper maintenance of Department-owned properties while advising claimants of their legal rights under the Eminent Domain Code.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • One year as a Real Estate Technician (commonwealth title); or
  • Two years of technical real estate experience and an associate degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Special Requirement:
  • This position requires possession of an active Class C driver's license or equivalent.
