JBT Corporation Director of Engineering (Hybrid) in Ohio, United States

The Opportunity As the Director of Engineering, YOU are responsible for the coordination and completion of internal audits. You will report to the President of our JBT/Bevcorp team: https://www.bevcorp.com. and oversee a team of 12 engineers as direct reports. Responsibilities You Will: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of electrical and mechanical engineers to achieve project goals and exceed performance expectations. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering department. Provide strategic direction and oversight for all engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines. Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies. Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition, professional development, and employee retention. Allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to optimize project outcomes. You Have: Have technical knowledge in both electrical and mechanical engineering to guide and support the engineering team. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. You have at least 10-15 years experience in the engineering field with at least 5-7 Supervisory or management experience. Collaborate with the executive team to align engineering strategies with company financial goals. Collaborate with teams to define project scopes, budgets, and timelines. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in product development, and testing Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inspire creativity and maintain a competitive edge. Qualifications Travel & Location We ask that you travel approximately 20% of the time (mainly to visit customers onsite) This position will be under a hybrid schedule after all training and onboarding is completed (few months).
