Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center CHMC - PHYSICIAN PRACTICE NURSE II-Surgical Clinic in Ogdensburg, New York

CHMC – Physician Office Nurse II (LPN/RN) General Surgery– Full-Time- Day Shift – 8a-4:30p-Requisition 7899

Pay range $24.16-$38.65*

Provides care for patients in an ambulatory, family care setting under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse, mid-level practitioner or physician. The Office Nurse II performs tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse, licensed physician, or other select licensed authorized health care provider. The Office Nurse II ensures that compassionate, engaged care meets or exceeds quality standards. Care is provided in an efficient and safe manner consistent with the NYS licensure and CHMC standard of care. Scheduled shifts will fluctuate and vary dependent on operational needs; shift start and end times will range accordingly from 7:00am-5:30 pm. Schedule may include up to two weekends per month (notification will be given prior to scheduling).

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalency required.

  • Valid NYS LPN or RN license.

  • BLS certification (infant, child and adult CPR) required

  • Current CPR certification.

  • NYS Driver’s license required.

  • Sustained efforts to maintain current knowledge base regarding professional and practice issues.

  • LPN preferred but qualified RN will be considered (payscale will differ for RN)

Requirements: Bending, lifting, standing, walking
