CHMC – Med Surg-Nursing Attendant– Full Time- Night Shift- 7p-7:30a– Requisition 7961
Job Grade: Certified Nursing Attendant (Grade 7) $18.33-$24.24*+
Nursing Attendant (Grade 6) $17.84-$22.78*+Provides basic patient care such as, personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support or other personal care, in an acute care setting, as delegated and supervised by a Registered Nurse or LPN. Responsible for implementing specific procedures and programs, coordinating work within and among other departments, reporting pertinent information to immediate supervisor, responding to inquiries or requests for information, and assisting immediate supervisor with tasks which support departmental operations. Certified Nursing Attendants may be required to float to other departments as directed by management, depending on operational needs. Will maintain a safe and clean environment while providing the highest level of customer service to both the patients and families.
Qualifications:
N.Y.S. Nursing Attendant Certification (C.N.A.) preferred
Nursing Attendant, HHA, PCA, DSP experience will also be considered (experience must be within the last 2 years)
high school graduate or equivalent required.
BLS certification and PMCS within orientation period
Knowledge of growth & development across the life span and the ability to use that knowledge to individualize the plan and delivery of care.
